Colorado: First Judicial District

In Colorado’s First Judicial District, Latino and African American youth are overrepresented in juvenile detention facilities. In 2002, Latino youth represented 12% of the overall youth population, but 32% of youth in detention. African American youth represented 1% of the overall youth population, but 6% of youth in detention.
