Georgia: Gwinnett County

In Gwinnett County, African American and Latino youth are overrepresented in juvenile detention facilities. In 2002, African American youth represented 15.3% of the overall youth population, but 37.1% of youth in detention. Latino youth represented 10.6% of the overall youth population, but 15.7% of youth in detention.
