North Dakota: Cass County

In Cass County, Native American youth and African American youth are overrepresented in juvenile detention facilities. In 2002, Native American youth represented 2% of the overall youth population, but 13% of youth in detention. African American youth represented 1% of the overall youth population, but 14% of youth in detention.
