Nebraska: Sarpy County

In Sarpy County, African American and Latino youth are overrepresented in juvenile detention facilities. In 2002, African American youth represented 4% of the overall youth population, but 11% of youth in detention. Latino youth represented 6% of the overall youth population, but 19% of youth in detention.
