Oregon: Marion County

In Marion County, Latino and African American youth are overrepresented in juvenile detention facilities. In 2002, Latino youth represented 20% of the overall youth population, but 30% of youth in detention. African American youth represented 1% of the overall youth population, but 5% of youth in detention.
