Utah: Salt Lake County

In Salt Lake County, Latino and African American youth are overrepresented in the juvenile detention facilities. In 2003, Latino youth represented 13% of the overall youth population, but 27% of youth in detention. African American youth represented 1% of the overall youth population, but 5% of youth in detention.
