co-chaired by the Honorable Jim Mason, Administrative Judge, Franklin
County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations and
Juvenile Branch and Mr. Mitchell Brown, Director, Department of Public
Safety The main disproportionality problem is the overrepresentation of
African-American youth. Columbus is currently gathering initial data,
researching the neighborhoods contributing most significantly to
detention and planning for the community mapping phase of the Burns
Institute process.
