Louisville began work with the Burns Institute in late 2003. The Louisville Advisory Board is co-chaired by Steve Jenkins, Executive Director of the Presbyterian Community Center, and David Nicholson, Executive Director of the Louisville Metro Criminal Justice Commission. The main disproportionality problem is the overrepresentation of African-American youth. Louisville is gathering initial data and planning for the community mapping phase of the Burns Institute process.
