Carlos has been a Bookkeeper and Contracts Administrator for the BI since April 2015, where he assists the Finance and Operations team with the day-to-day financial organization of the agency.
Since a teenager, Carlos has worked on expanding a degree of internal equanimity which helps him facilitate a thoughtful and lasting positive impact on society. Through his dedication, Carlos aspires to further advance the already expanding movements of environmental preservation, economic equity, GLBTQ protection, racial and ethnic representation, and fair wages for the Global South.
With a profound and personal understanding of the Bay Area housing crisis, Carlos is a leading voice in his community’s effort to enact adequate protection for low income tenants. Carlos attended the Oakland Unified School District graduating from Fremont High School in East Oakland.
