Sharoia Taylor-Cornejo is a member of the Social Justice and Well-being team with the W. Haywood Burns Institute. Sharoia is an education and legal advocate who has dedicated her time and early career to uncoupling injustice from institutional and community spaces.

As a graduate from the University of San Francisco School of Law with her J.D., and San Francisco State University with her M.A. in Ethnic Studies, Sharoia has worked within the criminal justice system as a legal advocate to serve the most vulnerable populations within her community.

Now, at the W. Haywood Burns Institute Sharoia hopes to help attack injustice within the legal system through a different lens and voice.
